Because it's free, it's a pretty good spot. It's located along a busy road and is used day and night by outdoor enthusiasts and local youth. So it's certainly not quiet. Campers also come and go. You can swim there, and there are picnic tables for cooking and eating. The portable toilet is very dirty.

The view is beautiful, and the paved grounds are a plus.

The restrooms are dirty. And it's noisy, not just from the road running alongside. Especially at night (between 10 PM and 3 AM), cars regularly drive by or enter the grounds with loud music. And otherwise, they honk their horns as they pass by.

The least pleasant overnight stay in Sweden and Norway in a week and a half.

On a small beach, with a beautiful view of the lake.

The road was busy this afternoon, but it's not too bad now (even for us, as we're coming from a place without much traffic).

The toilet is quite dirty, but a campervan usually has a toilet on board.

In short: it's a nice FREE spot, great for a night or two if you're visiting Karlstad.

Oh, and trash cans are available.
