*March 2026*

This is a perfect campervan site for visiting Volterra. €15 for 24 hours, electricity €1 for 12 hours, waste disposal and water available—you don't need anything more. They should do this more often in the Netherlands; it's just a place to park, and you spend your money in town. It was quite tidy when we arrived.
Across the road, through the gate, you walk straight into the town center via a long staircase. Now, in early March, it's a lovely place to visit—not crowded, not hot, and very touristy.

We've been driving to the site for years, and everything was fine, but the only positive change has been the power poles. Two years ago, I managed to find someone through the municipality who was able to restore power to the broken pole within three hours. As of this visit, one power pole is covered in plastic, and another also has no power. It would be nice to see a bit more service.

A great place to stay overnight. Plug in the power (costs €1 for 12 hours) and enjoy the beauty Volterra has to offer. Exactly what a campervan site should have. An affordable site with the amenities you expect as a campervanner.
