We stayed here for free. Request the gate code via the intercom; it also works on the small pedestrian gate. The tourist office was closed, so we had no idea where we were supposed to go to pay. This was not mentioned over the intercom either. Great spot, nice little dog field next to the campsite. The road next to it is busy, but that didn't bother us. It's a 15-minute walk towards the town and you're at the foot of the castle.

Neat campsite, on the edge of the historic center. There's a dog walking area next to the campsite. When you pay for your campsite at the tourist office, you get a day pass to visit the sights for free. Everything is perfectly organized here!

beautiful location for visiting Angers. Fenced terrain with automatic gate, access code available after phone call or visit to the friendly people of the tourist office (office next to the castle) not the most cozy place to open your awning and put your chairs but paved and ideal for visiting the city. restaurant tip: eat at "chez pont-pont" (also next to the castle) trendy, tasty and friendly.
