The campsite itself is very crowded and basic. The riverside pitches are lovely.
The toilets are okay, but the showers are absolutely terrible. The water flow is intermittent, with hot and cold water, and a poor water pressure, and a charge of €0.50 per 3 minutes. Tip: set your phone alarm loud enough to start the day one minute before.
The surrounding area is well worth a visit: the town and Sensoria museum are beautiful, and cycling around the river is fantastic. The Corvey Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is very impressive.
The large supermarket and lovely indoor and outdoor pools are nearby.

Stayed for 3 days, very friendly reception
we were allowed to find a free spot ourselves (the Weser was reserved for the weekend)
good grill on Friday evening
although you have to pay for hot and cold water everywhere

camper place outside the campsite is big and messy. 12 euros without electricity. we chose the campsite along the weser for 15 euros without electricity. were much nicer there and further from the busy road. sanitary facilities clean. 3 min shower for 50 cents in machine outside cabins is quite short and inconvenient.
