We parked our camper at the side of the parking lot and weren't bothered by anyone or anything. The toilet is adequate; it's nice that it's there. Going to sleep and being woken by the singing of the nuns and birds.

It seems like a nice place to stay overnight.

During the day, it was busy with visitors for the monastery and those wanting to go to the Danube. In the evening, it was deserted.
During the day, cars drove slowly back and forth past our camper, which we had already noticed. In the evening (9:00 PM), the same car came back, turned around behind our camper, and stopped 200 meters further down the road. This did not give us a safe feeling, and also because of what we had read in other reviews, we decided to pack our bags.

Quiet, free campervan site on a grassy area next to the car park. There is a small toilet building in the car park that closes at 8:00 PM. There are no other facilities. You can, however, purchase holy water. The monastery church (Greek Orthodox) is beautiful and well worth a visit. A donation is appreciated.
