good place for a stay over. road is there but not that busy. food and drinks great. nice atmosphere indeed! 
taking water costed more than the machine said; less than 100L per €. we had breakfast at the Mac Donald’s across the street. 
anyway, super stay for a night.

The site is okay in terms of facilities. But, although it is on the lake, there is no access to the water because of the fence. The access road to Alzenau is quite loud. €12 is too much for the location, especially since you pay extra for electricity and water. The highlight, however, is the huge lido (5 minutes by bike) and the beer garden adjacent to the site (great atmosphere). Don't expect exclusively Franconian cuisine, the concept is refreshingly new + good

We spent 2 nights on the almost empty pitch. The individual pitches are sufficiently sized and the sandy ground is easy to "handle" even when wet if you take the appropriate precautions in the motorhome. We are still campers!
The beer garden is open again and invites you to linger with its cozy atmosphere and its simple but tasty cuisine. The Alzenauer Sande offers wonderful walks for dog owners.
