Beautiful spot!

We were able to drive straight onto the parking lot and parked somewhere. It turned out the spot had no power. At first, we had to search a bit to find where we needed to go to register and pay, but that has to be done across the road in the shop. It was only there that we found out we were parked in the wrong place.

You can go for beautiful walks from here.

Tip: go to the other parking lot first.

20 euros for an overnight stay; electricity requires an additional payment at the pole.

Positive: Beautiful spot in a good starting point for extensive hikes.

Negative: Toilets cost €1 and are only accessible via a turnstile.

Showers are only available until 5:30 pm and you have to go across the street next to the shop.

Conclusion: Okay for a short stay.

We thought this was a great CP. Things are a bit more expensive in the Harz region anyway. The price was 20 euros per night. We had a problem with the parking token, and it was resolved very well. We found the lady who worked there friendly and understanding. We stayed for two nights and went on three beautiful hikes. You can get a hiking map at the nearby visitor center.
