Indeed, as RAW and the reviewer before him wrote, drive all the way to the Danube (Uferstrasse). We had a beautiful spot by the water, a lovely walk there in the Donau-Auer Nat Park. The restaurant is closed Mon-Wed, so you can't book there then, but there's plenty of space on the page. It's summer and the weather is nice, so many people come here by car or bicycle from morning until evening. Sometimes quite noisy! But they leave pretty quickly. Still, a lovely spot.

What a great spot. Indeed not on the parking lot in the village but drive out of the Uferstrasse in the direction of the Danube. If you are early you have a view over the Danube. Just report to the restaurant and then they indeed indicate that you are only allowed to park, no awning or chairs.
