Only ten minutes from Karlstad City is First Camp Skutberget – Karlstad, where you can stay in a scenic setting on the beautiful shore of Lake Vänern. On this campsite, adventure is never far away, and you’ll find activities for both young and old campers. Play beach volleyball, challenge your friends to disc golf, play miniature golf on our competitive adventure golf course or jog along the exercise trails in the area. We had just used the online check-in system. The barrier is open for online check-in until midnight. Check-in was incredibly easy. We even had eleven euros deducted from the processing fee. So, in total, we paid €29.314 SEK for one night, including electricity, water and waste disposal, shower, toilet, and so on. ### GertV - 4/5 *August 2025* Not everyone is enthusiastic about First Camp, and I have to say, we had the same impression. However, we had a very comfortable stay here (among the permanent pitches). Beautiful, quiet, spacious pitches and a fully renovated restroom facility with plenty of showers and toilets. The campsite is beautifully situated on Lake Vänern. Karlstad city center is 6.5 km away and easily accessible by bike. ### ChrisSupersonic - 2/5 *July 2024* In itself, first camp Karlstad is a great place, but I paid €65.41 (SEK750) for 1 night (high season). That's really too much for a poorly maintained spot with damaged grass.
