There could be more pitches, they fill up quickly, and the pitches are small, okay for one or two nights.

Dear town of Hitzacker, thank you so much for offering us motorhome travelers such a great free parking space. The beautiful old town with its restaurants is within walking distance. Showers and toilets are 250 meters away. Access to the Elbe Cycle Path is direct.

early June, but by late afternoon it was full
wonderfully quiet, even at night
electricity and water paid, emptying waste free
garbage bags available
nice little town to walk through
'the houses tell the history' a poster about the history of the house hangs on many a house.
who lived there and what profession
the town has often struggled with high water
now there is protection against
