You can stand there, and that is about all there is to say. The boats make noise all night long. The road leading up to it is beautiful.

Oops, a beautiful spot on the Douro where I'd love to spend a few days. But no, we're not going to do that.
Indeed, lots of cruise ships, buses, and cars rushing by.

The camper place is nothing special, the cruise boats are 2 deep at the quay, now there are 6 of them, it's a constant flow of people coming and going, buses full at 9 pm, still plenty of people on the quay, music on the boats, and you're 25 meters below a railway line that runs through the valley, hopefully with the last honking at 9 pm. You're right next to the main road with local traffic. There are much nicer places to stay overnight in the area.
