You can simply choose a spot in one of the car parks, even without paying attention to the actual parking space markings. The highway is very audible around the clock, but otherwise it's quiet. Payment is (only) via RingGo. The harbor area, including the shops and restaurants, is quite nice.

great overnight for ferries or visiting historic Portsmouth, several food chains at marina, inc Wetherspoons..yea…£10 for one night or phone security for 2 nights max stay,
