Great place to stay overnight if you want to visit the Montserrat Monastery. Right next to the station for the cogwheel railway (cremallera) going up. Well-lit, rustic night; the little train starts running again early in the morning. There is a restaurant at the station; if it is open (closed on Mondays), you can also use the toilets. Officially, you are only allowed to stay one night, but we were allowed two nights because we were late on day 1.

Nice place to stay, absolutely safe.

It's fun to take the little train up and then go even higher to Sant Joan.
The Basilica and the Black Madonna are beautiful, but very crowded, and you can only see the monastery itself from the outside.

Great place to visit a monastery. Good supervision, welcoming but clear. The restrooms are easily accessible during the day. The train ride is fun, and the monastery is impressive if that's your thing.
