Perfect, shaded, and quiet parking. 10 minutes and you're in the center of the magnificent city of Lucca. As for amenities, only water.

We were here in October 2025. A large gravel parking lot with a paved lane in the middle. It's striking how many cars are driving around, some of whom are taking driving lessons without an L sign. This doesn't cause any inconvenience. The markets are on the public road around the parking lot. There were still a lot of fairground attractions, but we weren't bothered by them. It's a few hundred meters from the Lucca fortress.

We had a great time here; there's an incredible amount of space. All the fuss about being towed away on Saturdays between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. because of the big farmers' market was completely unnecessary. The market is only on the streets. The huge area is used by market and town visitors, but campers park in the back area completely undisturbed. Even the patrolling Carabinieri aren't interested in us. The restrooms are only open during the market.
