5 stars just for the view from the first row.

Modern check-in and check-out system. Friendly proprietor who comes to help immediately if things don't work out. Nice and completely self-sufficient in the middle of nature.
Electricity only on the 2nd/3rd row.
Service area outside the gate.
Interesting to read the history of the complex.
Work is still being done on the access to the grounds.
Took a beautiful walk to the dam and the former training village.

For us, this was a great spot.

Easy if you are self-sufficient.

I spent a total of 10 weeks here during my time in the army. That was 39 years ago.
Beautiful hiking area; we also walked to the ghost village.

The campervan site is also on military grounds.

Museum and restaurant available.
My wife thinks it's worth it too. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights.

Beautiful camper site with an impressive view and stunning surroundings. The location is situated on the former Nazi training center Ordensburg Vogelsang; the charged history is still palpable everywhere here. That makes this place special, but also something you have to consciously choose. The front row is the best, and booking in advance is smart. Very limited facilities and the extremely coarse pebbles are a significant downside.
