A beautiful, peaceful place to spend the night after visiting the copper mine. We were here with another Dutch camper. Nearby (a few minutes' walk towards Falun, then turn right) you'll see piles of reddish-brown stones, a waste product of copper mining. The red dye used to paint the wooden houses is extracted from this waste.

We had a peaceful overnight stay here. It's a great place to prepare for a visit to the "Falu Gruve" (copper mine) in Falun. A short hike in the surrounding area takes you over mountains of slag from the ore smelting furnaces that once stood here by the river/lake.
