It's just a parking lot. However, due to the overnight parking restrictions in the other parking areas, it's a good option. The lot is quiet in the evenings, and there are some trees at the back separating it from the road. The current price for 24 hours is €12 (May 2026).

We had two quiet nights here.

If you position yourself right at the edge of the forest, you'll be nice and undisturbed and hardly notice the road. The location is also a great starting point for fantastic hikes. Parking and overnight stays are free when visiting the Harz Tower. There are two restaurants on site, but no other services.

Quiet place to spend the night.
Very nice to visit the tower including slide. There are also 2 imbissen and 2 restaurants.
