It's the paved parking lot on the south side of the road, not the large gravel lot opposite. However, that doesn't change the fact that both parking lots are completely full of cars, and there's no chance of finding a spot with a camper van.

We were initially staying at the northern site, which is wonderfully quiet. We ended up moving to this one for the night. We were right next to a playground. It was a great night. No amenities.
The beauty of this town, which from the outside seems rather bleak, lies in its buildings. Buy tickets and you'll be amazed.
