### TanteJans - 4/5
*August 2024*

good parking to visit Trieste and the Miramar castle by bike.
We did not spend the night there.
parking at the blue lines on the street = paid parking. There are plenty of spaces in the same parking lot with white lines. these are free.
checked with several locals, who confirm that it works this way in Italy.
When staying overnight, it is better to use the places with blue lines

Make sure you are standing between the BLUE lines, exactly in a box! We were still present when the inspector came and he told us that otherwise a ticket would be issued. (He didn't set the rules, but unfortunately he had to be so strict, he was a nice man.) It's also on the signs, including the blue stripes!

*September 2023*

Great place to visit Trieste. The bus stop is right next to the parking lot, take line 6 or 36 and get off about 2 or 3 stops after the station (outward). Please note: the address is not entirely correct, if you follow the route you will come to a dead-end narrow street where many cars are (double) parked. It is best to drive a little further, passing the parking lot on the right. At the end there is a good entrance and exit, directly at the section for campers.
