Friendly welcome with clean facilities. Located right next to the A1 heading north. Convenient for visiting Beamish Open Museum, Newcastle (think of the series Vera), and Durham.

We paid £36.70 per night after a £15 discount upon showing the ANWB key card.

Clean, tidy campsite, great attention to detail, gravel pitches surrounded by grass, it has everything you need, shame about the distance from the center and the limited public transport

The camp place is ok.
My one star is for the owner.
The reception staff omitted to block my appointed pitch, for which we even got a key with the pitch number on it.
Shortly after pitching the owner showed up and started barking at me :" who told you to park here !?!?#@". This continued for a while and 10 minutes later he showed up and we got the same show. Utmost rude,unfriendly, ah well, I better not say the word.
