Arrived at our spot, and after half an hour were completely covered in bites from tiny mosquitoes—not just one, but hundreds... asked for another spot, but the result was the same. Ate with a towel over our heads and then quickly rushed into the camper... result: we were covered in bites ourselves, and to our horror, the dog was too; eyes were swollen shut and ears were puffy. No sympathy from the campsite, so we fled and lost our money, plus a vet visit. So look carefully before you go there.

Beautiful, spacious campsite; I felt right at home immediately. They prefer that you book in advance, as it saves time at check-in. The bird park was amazing. There is an unpaved cycle path towards the lighthouse that runs between the sea and the inland lakes—so beautiful. There are a lot of mosquitoes, but we enjoyed it. The town is also nice; you can walk there from the campsite along the boulevard. Wi-Fi is only available at the reception. Not before the beach entrance.

We arrived without a reservation and asked if we could take a quick look at the campsite. The answer was "NO." And they really should get into the habit of reserving in advance... It's the off-season, the weather is bad, and as far as we could see, half the campsite was empty. We drove on. What a shame...
