It is better that you book at the campsite. Nice pitches, sanitary facilities, etc.

*July 2025*

We stayed here overnight on July 21/22. This place is perfectly fine for that.

I wouldn't want to camp here, though, even though you can spend the night here in a very quiet spot, and it's a lovely spot right on the canal.

So I'm only giving it 3 stars.

*May 2025*

Had two quiet days/nights (9-11 May). Campers from the campsite can indeed also use the waste disposal site (for a fee). Great that there are waste bins! We didn't mind the clinking of glass/commotion. For a pleasant place, you'd better go to a campsite.

Montech is a nice place. Known for the formerly famous 'water slope' (la pente d'eau); there is a nice exhibition in the museum ship. Good cycling along the Garonne canal.
