A “hippie-style” campsite: In terms of both atmosphere and rules of conduct: all types of campers are present, everything is allowed, and the atmosphere is friendly! The sanitary facilities are simple but okay. I didn't get the impression that they were cleaned daily, but in our opinion, that wasn't necessary either. (I can imagine others might think differently, though). The beautiful center of Alkmaar is a 20-minute bike ride away.

We would definitely book again in a heartbeat!

Thanks, Pieter!

What a wonderful campsite. A nice alternative, but that's fine. We could arrive after 8 pm, just pick a spot. Excellent sanitary facilities, electricity, and dogs are welcome. Just look around the first view and you'll find a lovely spot. The only downside: the grass had just been mowed... I wish there was a more green space.

We had made a reservation so we stayed for 2 nights. Normally we drive past such a campsite. Very messy, behind the house all kinds of (old) mobile homes here and there placed close together. Many permanent residents (it seemed) in special, old caravans and campers. The worst: poorly cleaned sanitary facilities: in the 2 days that we were there, it was not cleaned and the week before that too.
