There is no water, no shower, but there is a restaurant and you are right by the water.

What a lovely place. Sweet, hospitable owners!! Nice and small-scale, and therefore very quiet.
There is a nice tea garden and a good bakery in the village.
Many walking and cycling opportunities.

This place got us through the extremely hot days. It is 6 to 8 degrees cooler than Alkmaar, and there is often a cool breeze from the Wat. On the “fresh side” (IJsselmeer), there is a very clean portable toilet. To the right, you will also find a disposal point for toilets and grey water, as well as a free water tank. Behind the supermarket (Deka), near the bus station, there is a paid toilet. Restaurant ’t Wad (just a little further down by the harbor) serves the very best fish.
