I totally disagree with the previous review. It is incredibly quiet here, with excellent facilities in the harbor area. Very friendly and helpful harbor master.

Great base for activities in the surrounding area, such as the Broeker auction, the Alkmaar cheese market, and various cycling tours.

The only downside; it is a parking lot.

No sense of safety; the location is situated directly next to a public parking lot in a residential area, close to a busy provincial road, without fencing or security, making it vulnerable to malicious individuals. The focus seems to be on revenue. In the evening, during opening hours, there is no harbor master, so no electricity, Wi-Fi, or facilities. The next morning, no leniency: full rate, no correction possible (“system”). Better alternatives in the region. A shame.

*July 2025* 

We made a reservation by email a month before our arrival. We were called back for a minor change. The reservation was confirmed verbally. The disappointment was immense when, upon arrival today, all the spots were full. No apology, just "yes, if THEY don't write it down." Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time something went wrong with the reservation. It's a shame, because if there's room (...) we're happy to be there.
