It's a parking area where you're allowed to stay overnight. When we arrived at around 12:40 a.m., there were already six campers there. We fit in nicely and slept well. Since it had rained in the morning, we didn't explore the area. But we could see the water from the window.

The location, right next to the road, is a bit of a drawback. But you're parked on level ground, you're allowed to stay overnight, you can dispose of your rubbish, AND... directly from here you can access a small hiking area with beautiful trails and views.

Good place to stay overnight from the Kristiansand boat; fortunately there was plenty of room because the evening boat was delayed by 3 hours, we were there at 4:50.
