Fantastic place! What beautiful surroundings and nice to be here. The Gaustabanen are fantastic for going up (and of course back down). What an experience. And the entire area here is beautiful!

A unique place to spend the night at an altitude of 1,100 meters. We parked in the middle parking lot; officially, overnight stays are not allowed in the top parking lot. Depending on how vehicles are parked, there is room for 8 campers. By the way, there are absolutely no facilities here. From this spot, you can reach the Gaustabanen on time, but be sure to order tickets online in advance, as only 25 people can go up from the queue every 15 minutes.

We arrived after the Gaustabanen closed (5:00 PM). We parked in the upper parking lot (there was no sign prohibiting it; at that time, only campers were parked in the lower parking lot), where it soon became quiet. This parking lot is nice and flat.

Cold wind, but otherwise we had a wonderfully quiet night, with spectacular views of the Gaustatoppen and the surrounding area.
