Parque do Choupalinho Parking

Campervans are prohibited, so we drove to the parking lot anyway. There wasn't a single campervan there, even though there was plenty of room. It's a shame the city makes it difficult for campervans to visit the city and spend money.

According to residents, staying or spending the night here is no longer permitted and will result in a fine - if checked.

We were here on Monday 28 April '25. Just keep to the coordinates, ignore the sign and drive on. It is a great place to visit the city, cross the footbridge and you are there. The sights are quite a climb. It was wonderfully quiet at night. We were there with 4 campers. When leaving, drive back and turn right before the prohibition sign. So don't be too afraid.
