We were the only camper to spend the night here yesterday, quietly and in the shade of a few trees. There were only a few passenger cars. The large square Largo Gago Coutinho is now (temporarily?) completely surrounded by fences. Entrance at the R.de Poente, at the park. There are also public toilets. It is a nice walk from here to the castle and the Paço Ducal. The Praça Republica is a beautiful square with orange trees.

I don't find this place that way. Only park in the longitudinal direction and watch out for the trees and that you will not be skewed in the drainage gutter. Beautiful surroundings. The cobblestone pavement causes a lot of noise. We have opted for a different parking area, as previously reported, 400 meters further N 38.77696 W 007.42064. During carnival this parking lot is partly in use during carnival.
