This place still exists and is as described: Great location, but basically no services. It is not an official place, but there is ample room and nobody is bothered. We liked here and would gladly come back.

June 2023 October 2019 Rough land at the top of the hill, church nearby & picnic area with tables, toilets (very basic) & water (not treated) Church bells chime every 15mins but sound lovely. Very remote but fine for overnight stopover & felt safe. Ignore satnav if it tries to turn you sharp right just drive through town & follow the road up, there are signs for campsite which is in same direction
