Camping La Garrofa

Beautiful beach, bus to Almeria (no dogs allowed on the bus, not even in a bag), excellent restrooms, and a neglected one (cold showers, dirty dishwashing area). We had a spot upstairs (near the old restrooms) where you could hear the road clearly. Do check it out first. We wouldn't recommend staying longer. We liked Almeria city, but it wasn't a must-see.

A lovely campsite with a private beach in a beautiful bay. A warm and friendly welcome. There's a cozy bar with a small restaurant. Taking the bus to Almeria is very easy because it stops right outside, and you're in the city center in just two stops. You can bring your dog in a bag. It's a shame cycling isn't an option here: far too dangerous.

Lovely campsite in a small bay. We were lucky enough to get a spot right by the beach...the sound of the waves was wonderful. The welcome and staff at the bar/restaurant (bread in the morning) were very warm and friendly. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water, even for washing dishes. There was a washing machine and drying lines. The bus to Almería stops right outside (4 km). We didn't consider cycling along the busy road an option. We will definitely be back 👍
