Given it was free to park and allows 72 hour stop/ sleep overs I’d say it was pretty decent. Large bins for waste and recycling, bottle banks, WC and grey waste facilities. Fresh water available at entrance end of site, this is for bike maintenance but it’s good to drink. Great links to Bilbao via train or bus. I felt safe here both day and night. A good option if you have just arrived and paid sites are booked up.

The campsite is a disaster, right next to the airport and apparently beside a disco/bar.

The planes flew until midnight, so loud it sounded like our campervan was the runway, and the music played until 6 a.m., including karaoke by drunk people starting at 4 a.m.

It was so loud, it was like we were right in the middle of it 🥴. On the plus side, there's good access to public transport. To be rested and refreshed for the next day, I'd rather move on.

Metro only a 5min walk away for a direct train into the city. felt quite safe during the night. only facilities available were grey water disposal and rubbish. When leaving DON'T TURN LEFT (as maps directs you to), it takes you down narrow lanes/driveways and I don't think the residents appreciated it.
