Camping Regio

We stayed at Camping Regio for two nights in November. The sites first class rating and 25 euro a night charge was difficult to accept as most things were closed. Building work meant the lack of basic facilities. There was no women’s showers which meant sharing the men’s washroom. Even worse was the absence of disposal for toilet. We were instructed to use the grey water drain . Campers who are familiar with this job can imagine how inappropriat

The campsite is no longer a sandy plain. We returned because the restaurant was excellent during our previous visits, and the menu was extensive. Today we ate at the restaurant. The menu has completely changed; no more fish dishes. Pizza is now the standard. Or a small menu. We ordered chicken with fries and salad. The chicken had cold pieces, and the fries were old and reheated. Fortunately, the dessert made up for it somewhat.

spacious places on somewhat unkempt grass/sand. sanitary facilities are okay, a bit outdated. campsite more a 3-3.5 star. bus 20 stops in front of campsite towards the centre of Salamanca. took a taxi back, no problem, €12.
