Quiet campsite. Not too far to the center of Plasencia by bike. Friendly staff, large pitches, and we were allowed to choose our own spot. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but were otherwise clean and well-maintained. The washing-up areas at the back of the building have hot water. It's a shame the internet only worked on one of our two days.

A night at La Chopera cost us 28 euros. Camper, 2 people, and electricity. This was on June 2, 2026.

The pitches are decent. With or without shade. "Just pick a spot."

The sanitary facilities are mediocre to poor.

No hot water for washing dishes or showering.
Water pressure when showering ranges from nothing to about something.
No water coming out of the hose at the chemical toilet disposal.
Sanitary areas dirty, spidery, dated.

In short. Good for a night with electricity, but without sanitary facilities.

A real campsite near a beautiful town. The welcome is usually friendly. There are many transient visitors, so the sanitary facilities may not always be clean. If you want amenities and peace and quiet, this is the place to be.

Only on Saturdays do the regular guests arrive, and it gets busy and full for a while.
