We parked our camper by the canal.
In that respect, it is a beautiful spot; however, the sanitary facilities are substandard in terms of quantity and ventilation, especially when the campsite is busy.
We need them, but for the people who depend on them, this is annoying.
The surroundings are beautiful, though, which compensates for everything a little.

The infrastructure and everything else is fine. The location right on the Göta Canal is fantastic. However, there are drawbacks: the limited number of showers and toilets for over 100 pitches, and the price. In July 2026, we paid 490 SEK for two adults, one child, and one dog, including electricity! The pitch itself, on a gravel surface, wasn't exactly impressive. You certainly can't go wrong here, but it's questionable whether the price reflects what's offered.

A beautifully situated campsite right on the Göta Canal. Good sanitary facilities. It is a great place for cycling and walking.

Söderköping, the old town, is charming.
