Large parking lot at the site of the former Stikkenjokk mine. Good starting point for walks to see reindeer. No facilities, but there is a souvenir stall. Fine place to stay overnight.

Stekenjokk – unique off-grid experience in nature
Not experiencing a sunset here is truly an experience. The surroundings are rugged, open, and beautiful for hiking. We were lucky with the weather, which made the experience even better. There are no facilities for campers, so you are completely off-grid among (many) other campers. Pure nature, silence, and space. The experience is more important than the facilities.

It's a large, centrally located parking area. The hiking trails are easily accessible, and from there you can hike directly across the dam and up to the radio station (highly recommended). However, the parking area itself is very busy and is best considered a well-situated trailhead parking lot rather than a relaxing campsite. Towards Gaustafallet, there are smaller, more tranquil bays.
