We wanted to visit Rørö in early June 2026, after successfully visiting the other islands.

When we arrived on the free ferry, we found a small area at the harbor with only three hastily arranged parking spaces.

Unfortunately, all the spaces were already reserved.

So where to go?

Apparently, there were no alternatives.

Therefore, the only option was to take the next ferry (which also returns late in the evening).

What a shame!

Island hopping with the free ferries is great fun. Booking this small camper pitch is recommended; it is indicated via the website here in the app. By the looks of it, only 3 camper spots are in use. Toilet close at hand, code via email. More facilities further down the road. Turn left past the ICA. There you will also find a shower and washing machines, among other things. Tiny island with a beautiful nature reserve!

Very nice to hop on the free yellow ferries to islands off the coast. This place is very beautiful and peaceful. Electricity and toilet available. No shower. Take a brisk walk through the nature reserve and then coffee on the terrace of the harbor cafe. NB! Officially there are only three places and often reserved in advance.
