There are indeed various structures on the campsite where people appear to be living temporarily. We were assigned a spacious spot for our 7.40-meter camper. The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean and more than adequate. The shower has a strong, warm stream. There are various washing-up areas inside, and even indoor cooking facilities. You can hear the highway during the day, but by 9:00 PM we couldn't hear the traffic anymore. It takes 35 minutes to walk to the city center.

We stayed one night in the rest area outside the campsite. You can use the services and loading/unloading of the campsite.
However, there are only 5 pitches used for camper parking and they are located in a public car park.
Not the best accommodation but for one night and at a cost of 19.60 francs acceptable.
It is right on the banks of the Rhine but at least 35 minutes walk from the center.

Totally agree with previous writer. Type of Fort Orange with its own buildings and permanent residents. Sanitary facilities are good and sufficient, but the shower is difficult to arrange. The appearance is mediocre. Only 2 stars due to highway noise pollution.
If you have nothing to do in Chur, 1 overnight stay is the max.
Handy for a ride on the Bernina Express to Tirano.
Ask at reception for the Chur card for a 50% discount on, among other things, the lifts to the Brambruesch.
