There are more than 140 official Natural Campsites (Natuurkampeerterreinen) in the Netherlands, which are known for their peaceful and natural environment. The Natural Campsites allow you to camp in ancient beech woods, beside babbling brooks or in rich orchards. You won’t find a pub or entertainment for children at the Natural Campsite, but there are good sanitary facilities, including lavatories, running water and at least one hot shower (exept for one campsite, which only has cold water). Often there are extra facilities, like a place to build a campfire and a shelter in case the weather turns bad. However, nature plays the most important role!
At the Natural Campsites below motor caravans/motorhomes are very welcome. Please take notice of the maximum size and maximum weight of your motor caravan. To maintain the tranquility at the campsites you are asked to use your motor caravan as if it were a regular caravan/non-motor vehicle, which means that, after your arrival and after you have parked it, the motor caravan must remain on the site until the end of your stay. Some of the Natural Campsites have special spaces for motor caravans.
At the Natural Campsites the Natural Camping Card is required. This card, including Het Groene Boekje (camping guidebook), is available at the campsites, or you can order it online from: www.natuurkampeerterreinen.nl/en.
