## Reviews

*October 2026*

The pitches are fine. But it is a long walk to the toilet, shower, and washing-up area. Waste collection is also a long walk, but in the other direction. In the dark, neither the sanitary facilities nor the waste collection are manageable. Let alone finding your way back; it is quite a challenge.

*June 2026*

I hesitated between 3 or 4 but ended up getting 3.

Registering takes a bit of searching, but once you do, it goes fine. The pitches and location are beautiful, with a lovely view of the water and close to the sea.

However, the sanitary facilities are far from the pitches, even though they are intended for campers. Too far, in my opinion.
Furthermore, it wasn't really clean. (Skin flakes, hair in the sink) Being outdated doesn't matter, but cleanliness is an absolute must.

Very quiet, spacious pitches. You can walk, submerge, etc. in the large lake where you're staying.
Clean sanitary facilities and lovely hot showers. The only drawback... it's far from campervan sites.
Best to book online in advance.
The entrance and where everything was located were unclear to us.
We reported to the visitor center a little further down the road and received a full explanation from the friendly owner.
A perfect stop before departing by boat from Newcastle upon Tyne.
