Simple camper pitch on concrete or, optionally, on grass. No electricity available. Showers just like in a sports canteen, so 4 men or 4 women in one room. Separated, though. Quite doable for one night. Quiet. Costs 11 pounds.

We stayed there with the roof tent for £11 a night. Showers and toilet. Old but clean. Plenty of space on the pitch. Really enjoyable. We even watched some cricket along the way 😁

Great, quiet and cheap option (11£) to stay here if you want to visit York. We did not use the facilities. We were here at the weekend and the manager who came to collect the money told us that the bus only runs during the week. We therefore drove with the camper to the park&ride Askham Bar (free parking) and then took the bus, 5.50£ for 2 people, to the beautiful center of York.
