We took the plane gamble. Unfortunately, every minute a plane flies right over the campsite. It's being renovated and is a bit messy. There are also lots of workers (and permanent residents?) in caravans. At the back, there are lovely grassy meadows for "casual" guests. Walking and cycling outside the campsite is extremely dangerous, and besides, there's nothing nearby. A drink at the lake can be reached via a meadow. A shame, disappointing. £37 for 2 people + dog.

great campsite for on the way to Dover. indeed under construction but neat new toilet block, 0.50p 8 min
shower. spacious pitches on the hayfield. aircraft noise but at night it is quite bearable. friendly staff. nice pub "wiremill" nearby at the lake, 10 min walk through the meadow. staff pointed it out to us. £34,

Messy, messy? They are just working hard to make it even more beautiful. Apart from the planes, which come every 4 minutes, it is quiet. A garage, almost on the Campsite is great if you have a breakdown. A horse racing track in the area and a cozy pub: the star Inn, or a good restaurant within walking distance at a lake.
