The mixed parking lot shown at the coordinates no longer exists. It's now a paid parking lot for passenger cars only. The previous positive review likely refers to the large parking lot next door (also for coaches). We didn't park there because it was so crowded.

Great spot. We're the only ones here, and the peace and quiet is wonderful. I don't see the "overgrowth" mentioned in the previous review. There are no facilities, but blocks are needed because there's no flat area anywhere on the site.

Great spot. We're here with four campers. You can walk down to the water, where you can swim. There's only a trash can and two concrete picnic tables. No other amenities, but it's wonderfully quiet.

You are no longer allowed to camp here: "Camping prohibited" signs have been posted.

Note: The first photo is incorrect. This is a paid parking lot just before the entrance to the campground. There was no space left for us at the campground.

Excellent camper spot in the middle of Peniche, with all amenities. Only showers and toilets cost some coin, but they are impeccably clean. Friendly welcome and clear explanation. Safely closed area during the night (extension is always possible and pedestrian entrance with code).
