A lovely site for nature and bird watching. Lots of shady spots. The toilets and showers were very clean. The host is very welcoming. The only disappointment was that the pool was still not open when we were there in early July, so check if that is important for you.

This was our favourite site on our tour of Portugal, Spain and France - it is just so peaceful! And beautiful views. It is suited to Campervans and tents only. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful in Dutch, Portuguese and English. The toilets and showers were immaculate. There is also a small plunge pool to cool off in. If that were made bigger and put where the seated dining area is, it would be 6*!

It is a busy site in an urban area. Try to get a pitch on the side next to the park, it is much nicer than the side next to busy roads. We saw loads of bats and deafening cicadas! There is also a small pool to sit in near the bar just for campers which was refreshing. The toilets & showers by the entrance are better than the others. The metro is 10 mins away. They tend to squash people next to each other instead of spacing us apart so check that.

Well organized with lots of clean showers and toilets. Small hedges are being grown as pitch dividers but not many big trees for shade yet. The swimming pool is the municipal one but it is big, with seats around it and with a pool for chidren. The bus stop to the centre, and a large supermarket, are 10 minutes walk away. The bus takes about 30 minutes into town where there is a nice cathedral with Goya paintings.

A lovely, quiet, spacious site with big pitches marked out with low hedges. Lots of shady trees, and some pitches have views of the Pyrenees too. Toilets and showers good and clean too but bring your own soap. Big shops like Lidl and Aldi are in Oloron.

Cheap and basic - bring your own toilet paper and soap. This is the first campsite we have had to do this in a one month tour. It is very busy in the school holidays as it is next to Juno beach. The pitches are spacious but as there are no dividers or hedges, people have filled every millimetre of their pitch with their tents/awnings/gazebos/cars/boats so it feels overcrowded and a bit squalid. Best avoid in the school holidays.

We parked along section 6 it is quieter and looks out over fields and the sea. It is narrow but people parked smaller motorhomes OK. The showers and toilets there were immaculate and cleaned regularly. The pool was busy (school holidays) during the day but quiet from 5pm. The only downside is that it is so far from Porto - 1h 30m by bus and metro, which for 2 people cost nearly €14 one way; the next day we got a taxi for €16 taking 50 minutes.

This could be a lovely site but it needs more care. The trees onsite are beautiful and give lots of shade and singing birds. It is very peaceful here. The toilets and showers are shabby but cleanish (I do wish women would pick up their hair after a shower!! There isn't a shower fairy working here unfortunately). Toilet paper is filled daily, but NO HAND SOAP even in the toilets. €46 for 2 nights I expect soap. Santiago bus is 20 mins walk away.

We stayed in May and had a great time. Lovely views, lots of wildlife, and very near to the ferry back to the mainland. The toilet and shower block were excellent and the laundry facilities looked great but we did not use them. You are in easy walking distance of the town. Watch out for the starlings in nesting season! They like to nest in car bonnets! So check yours daily.

SADLY, THIS SITE IS NOW CLOSED. So is the camping shop in front of it.
