Great place to stop - sign states campervans and motorhomes are welcome. High up and exposed but excellent viewpoint. Honesty box for donations (recommended £5)

October 2020 - no longer allowed to park overnight. Sign at parking meter advising no overnight parking. This is a shame as it was a great stop-over that we often used for our first night when heading north ☹

Great spot, worth the £10 fee for the chance to empty toilet, dispose of rubbish and take on fresh water. When you arrive you should go up to the house to let them know you've arrived and pay your fee - we missed the sign advising this. Views and setting are perfect, great place to chill for a day or so.

Great spot - stayed for a night in January and had the place to ourselves. Sign has info about rules for campervans - suggested £10 donation which I didn't mind paying as they're trying to raise funds to save the harbour. Great wee village with a brilliant beach accessed a few hundred yards along the main street. Toilet block was basic but clean.

Stayed 14/10/19. Beautiful spot with great views. On arrival you should call in at the house to book in and pay the £10 fee. We parked up in a flat spot overlooking the beach with views over to the mountains of Assynt. Good opportunity to fill up with freshwater and empty the chemical toilet and recycle rubbish. Quiet site with good secluded parking spots and excellent views. Hope to visit again.

Beautiful spot, we stayed in October 2019 and shared the spot with 2 other vans. Local fishermen arrived early in the morning - make sure you park out of the way for them getting their boat down the slipway. Great views over to Staffin Island and beyond. No facilities other than the water tap, general store in Staffin village.

Great spot if you're visiting Pitlochry. A short walk to town (2 minutes) or the Pitlochry Theatre (5 minutes) It's a car park so don't expect much more, but overnight parking is allowed. When we stayed there were another 4 or 5 Van's there. Signs at other car parks direst campervan to overnight here.

Quiet spot in a circular forest car park. Only car park in the area that allows overnight stays with £2 daily charge. Always quite busy with other vans and great for access to the Cairngorms.

Great spot, only 2 miles from John O' Groats but miles away from it in character. Car park was quite busy when we arrived but soon started to empty of all but campervan/ motorhomes as the light faded. No issues and no signs to indicate any restrictions on staying overnight. Great views of the Orkney Islands and a short walk to the sea stacks. Overall great remote spot - visited October 2019

Great spot, really remote and great position for Sandwood bay walk. The beach / bay at the site is great. The site's undeveloped but really good. Owned by the John Muir Trust so you can be assured your £5 fee's being put to good use. Toilets and fresh water 1.5 miles up the road. Turn left just before the road end.

Good spot next to a brilliant beach. Parked in the car park - no signs to say no overnight and the folk going to / from the farm beyond the road end passed with no issues. Had the spot to ourselves once the cars with beach visitors left. The beach and sand dunes are great, loads of rock pools too - see the sea anemone photo.
