The whole village had been taken over for a music festival. Chaos!

Superb new aire with every facility, including free electricity. Great location on edge of park with sports facilities. Plenty of traffic in evening but all stopped by 10:00. Very quiet night. Thanks to the community for providing this site

Perfect place to stay for a night although the facilities are rather tired, especially the black waste disposal (no more than a hole in the ground with a heavy cover) A few minutes walk from the old part of town, near the castle, with a large selection of places to eat. Very quiet at night.

No facilities (not even waste bins) so maximum 3 stars. Became rather noisy when the Children’s funfair started at 10:00 but quiet by midnight. Ponte de Lima is a delightful town.

It was a service point where everything worked although rather out of date. To rinse away the contents from the “black” waste was rather difficult. No possibility of staying the night.

Despite the lack of facilities, this was a great place to spend the night. It was a short walk to the steps up to Bom Jesus or the funicular railway. More importantly, the bus route No 2 stopped at the funicular and within 20 minutes (cost €1.55 each way) we were in the beautiful centre of Braga. Highly recommended!

Very convenient for visiting the city centre and the cable car. There very few “legitimate” places in the aire, but we parked with about 20 more vans on the gravel parking area nearby. Although it was lively during the early evening, the noise subsided quickly after 9:00 and we had a very quiet night. The services are adequate but somewhat outdated. The water tap is very, very slow and you have to hold the button in all the time.

I would give this site 4 or 5 stars for facilities but sadly, I have to go by my own experience. We stayed on a Friday night - up to 9:00 everything was fine. Then cars started arriving and parking between the campers. There was soon a noisy party by the picnic area with music, fireworks etc. which continued until well after midnight. A very uncomfortable experience.

We stayed here for two nights as a base for visiting the Douro valley. Apart from waste bins, there were no other services (although there was a toilet block by the chapel . There was a surprising amount of traffic during the evenings, including the police who called both days. Magnificent views in all directions and a quiet place to stay the night.

A convenient place to park to visit the town, although this has little of interest other than the old bridge across the river. Access is a bit tricky as it’s not signposted and there are several entrances to the parking areas, each of which are separated by kerbs. We were shouted at by the parking attendant for standing in the wrong section.

Great location by the river, in the the centre of the beautiful town. No facilities except a few recycling bins (no general waste). One disadvantage is that the lighting attracts youths who play football on the open area near where we parked until after midnight. Apart from that, we had a quiet night.

Quiet place to spend a night en route to Portugal. No facilities. The lake looked beautiful but sadly the weather was poor.

wonderful location close to the citadel where there are several restaurants. The aire itself is very popular and there was movement of vehicles until well after 10:00. Access to the waste disposal point is quite tricky with a tight turn round structures, but it all works well.

This was a well located and laid out site, but very noisy. Dogs barking nearby through d night and youngsters in cars playing loud music. Disappointing.

As other reviewers say, you must use the lower carpark. The upper parking is fine for visiting the fort, but very steep. Apart from cars visiting about midnight (lovers?) we we’re entirely alone.

Access road very difficult. Although only 500n from main highway, it was very steep and narrow. Fortunately, we didn’t meet oncoming traffic. Very quiet at night (other than torrential rain) with a beautiful sunset. The village is worth a visit.

Beautiful views from this hill top site. Several of the pitches were not level so ramps needed. Quiet at night. Few facilities with locked toilets.

Perfect little site, with all services including electricity. The village itself was extremely quiet - almost s as ghost town!

This was hard to find as the GPS coordinates are incorrect. For the service point, they should be 40.54942, -7.24214. The parking is opposite.

This is a large carpark near the town gate. No facilities but perfect for booths historic town centre.

A beautiful quiet location on the edge of a lake. The access road is rather narrow, but otherwise fine. No facilities other than waste bin.

This is not really an overnight stop as it is vey exposed on the top of a gorge alongside the city walls. Several parts of the access road are quite steep. OK for a visit to the city.

We’ll-located site within east walking distance of city and cathedral. Although there was a lot of movement in the evening with visitors the adjacent park, the site was quiet at night.

Access is rather tricky between parked cars - we clipped wing-mirrors! The site itself was rather busy but clean and tidy.

We tried to stay here, but it was taken over by a funfair. Carried on to Cisternino.

Although the overhang caught the road on entering and leaving, this is still a find place to stay the night. Although there were a few youths early on, they soon. went homes c all was quiet. I would come again.

Simply perfect place to stay to visit the historic city of Matera. €18 for the night including tax and electricity. Shuttle bus to city €1.50 each way per person. Maria and Paulo couldn’t have been more helpful.

The access road is very poor with many large holes, Despite the lack of facilities, this was a great place for a stopover. When we arrived, there were several cars near the beach (fishermen) and a few arrived later (lovers?) All left by 22:00. No noise overnight, although there were a few trains. It is possible to dump grey water into the sand.

This is a great place to park to visit the city of Lecce, but not suitable for overnight (sosta). Too much traffic noise!

Sadly, this is just a regular carpark and there was no space available on April 20’, 2022. We had to look elsewhere.

€8 for a night stopover. The owners were very helpful and gave us advice on how to reach the city centre on foot. (15 minutes walk) Very quiet night!

Useful place to take on water and dispose of waste. Unfortunately, there is no separate water tap to rinse the toilet cassette.

A quiet place to park for a night or two. There is a fair amount of traffic at about 8:00 when the cemetery opens, and again in the evening, before it closes at 18:00. The nearby garden centre is fantastic, but has dogs guarding at night, so I recommend that you park at the western end of the carpark to avoid disturbing them. No facilities, not even trash cans.

This is a car park for the castle. Parking is €7.00 plus an extra €3.00 for sosta. There are few facilities . Electricity is available for a small extra charge. You need to use the toilets (WC) to dispose of “black” water. There were a lot of dogs barking late in the evening, but they stopped by midnight, after when it was very quiet,

A busy site even with only 10 campers. Although there was some road noise, it stopped early in the evening. Unfortunately, the black waste disposal was locked shut, and there was only one small waste bin, which was overflowing. The town was fascinating especially as we stayed on Good Friday (Easter) and witnessed the Easter procession with Jesus and the Madonna being carried through the town.

No facilities but a good place to stop for the night. The traffic on the road ceased by 23:00 and there was no noise at night.

This was our third stay here in 4 years. Although slightly faded from its original glory in 2018, this is still an excellent stopover, with free electricity and water. The town itself is a short walk away and has several delightful restaurants and bars, which are well worth a visit.

This place is no longer a sosta. We tried to stay here and eventually were told that it was under new ownership. Sadly, the restaurant website is also out of date. What a shame as it looked ideal!

This is a great place to spend a quiet night, despite the lack of facilities. We had only been here half an hour, when a car drove up. I was expecting to be asked to move on, but instead we were offered a free gift - a packet of delicious Offele di Parona biscuits.

Quiet place to stay en route to Mont Blanc Tunnel. Lovely old village with choice of restaurants. All facilities in good working order. Only problem was the sprinklers which came on at 6:00 in the morning giving the camper a good soaking!

Ideal parking to visit the lovely town. Plenty of spaces when we arrived late afternoon, and still spaces late in the evening after visiting the town. Although there was a band playing in the evening, they stopped at 10:00 pm after which there was no noise until next morning.

We tried to stop here but both the camper van parking and the adjacent carpark were full at 4:00 pm. We move on to the other parking where was smoke room

The aire has very large emplacements but is very noisy at night. OK for a brief stopover.

Despite the lack of facilities, this was a great place to overnight. Although there was some noise in the early evening from the swimming baths and the football pitches, this stopped by 21:30, when all the lighting was turned off. The village itself is worth s visit with a few bars and coffee houses.

Although the site itself was well equipped with free electricity, our stop was marred by the noise from the nearby sports facilities. There was a “party” in the tennis club, which continued until 2:00 am with drunken youths singing and shouting outside the campers.To cap it all, several girls urinated between the vans!

Although the carpark was busy in the evening, it was very quiet at night and little traffic in the morning. A short walk into the lovely town with plenty of bars and restaurants.

This is a communal carpark close to sports pitches. Rather noisy in the evenings with youths coming and going, and later with cars roaming around. Little of interest in the village-

Ideal parking for a visit to the lovely city of Brescia, although I wouldn’t want to stay overnight as it is really just a carpark for a housing estate.

Sadly, there is little to keep you here. It looks like the local council decided to install a sosta but then ran out of funds.

Great site, beautifully located. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, with lots of advice about things to do. All the facilities were in perfect working order.

Perfect site for an overnight stopover, close to the grounds of the castle. Children’s play area close by, with plenty of dog walking opportunities. Pity that the only restaurant in the village was closed.

Lovely site with friendly (English-speaking) staff. Easy bus ride into Heidelberg.Showers and washrooms adequate but no hairdryers available.

We tried to stay here in August 2020, but the carpark was closed for renovation. We’ll try again next year.

This is no longer a camper van parking area, but just a rather damp field next to the river. Access is via a very narrow track or along the cycle path. Next door is a holiday park with loud music. We didn’t stay long as the mosquitoes from the river were hungry.

Like many parking areas, this one has lost its sparkle. Water is no longer free (costs €2.00 for an unspecified quantity) and half the site is now blocked off. Noisy all night with traffic on both sides.

Perfect site for a one night stop. Despite the church bells ringing during the night, it was generally quiet with a background buzz from the Autostrada.

Useful service area just off the autoroute. The facilities all appeared to be working correctly.

There are two camper van places in a general carpark close to the village centre. The village is well worth a visit with its murals. Unfortunately, there were several dogs in the houses near the carpark who barked throughout the night, so sleep quality was poor.

Just a small patch of hard standing on the side of a hilltop village. No facilities, as far as we could see. The access through the village is steep with some nasty corners.

This is actually a car park for a bar/restaurant and became very noisy in the evening. Only after 2 a.m. did the noise subside. In the morning we were asked at 8:00 to move the van so the grass around the car park could be cut.

Just a large car park at the foot of a pretty hill town. Services all seemed OK but rather busy and noisy on Sunday morning.

This is just a rather large parking area, not the car park for the old fortress, which is well worth a visit (free of charge). There were several other camper vans here, most of which seemed to be semi-permanent. A WARNING I approached from the west , having come from France, and my satnav directed me off the main road and through the village. The access road was very narrow.

Great place for an overnight stop. The farmer was very friendly and insisted that we had a degustation. We bought two 10 litre wine boxes. The view was fantastic and there was no noise at all. I would have rated it higher, but the facilities were rather basic.

Being close to the local college, there is a bit of noise early in the morning. The facilities all worked OK, but several locals use the aire to park their vans semi-permanently, thus the site fills very quickly. Beware - the entrance is quite narrow and difficult to access when cars are parked opposite.

Although there is a waste water disposal point near to the lift into the town centre, the other facilities are poor. The only tap would be difficult to fill up from with a very small spout, and there is no proper WC disposal. Many vans have dumped their toilet waste with the grey water - not nice! The car park is huge and on a slope with no designated camper-van parking places. Plenty of room in October, but might be a problem in high season.

Worth 10 stars for the fantastic views, although this is countered by the lack of facilities. I could not see a problem with the slope from the upper to lower levels. The town itself was rather a disappointment.

A quiet night's stop, although there was a lot of early morning vehicle movements to the nearby council depot. The water and waste facilities were all in good working order. A stiff walk uphill to the village with a choice of bars and restaurants; great pizzas at ZeJus in the main square. The adjacent cemetery is fascinating and well worth a look round.

A rather busy aire with a lot of local traffic. Unfortunately, fly-tippers arrived at 4am and dumped a load of trash near the waste bins, although the council cleared it all away by 7:30! The chemical toilet disposal is a hole in the ground covered by a hernia-inducing metal plate and was far from sanitary. The only working water tap was about 30cm from the ground and was too close to the WC disposal point for comfort.

This aire is beautifully located, with great views of the village, where there are bars and shops. There did not seem to be any facilities, although there is water in the adjacent cemetery, but not accessible by camper. We spent a peaceful night here, our first stop in Italy after crossing from France

I really can't award more than 3 stars for a small carpark on the edge of the village. No facilities and quite a lot of coming and goings in the evening and again in the morning.

We stayed here in October when everything was free, despite what the notices said. (The payment machine appeared not to have worked for some years.) The chemical toilet waste was blocked and the waste water disposal was overgrown. The village was worth a stroll with a good choice of bars and restaurants. A good stop for visiting Perugia or Lake Trasimeno, although the roads are pretty bad.

We stopped here briefly, but soon found the much quieter and more pleasant aire a short distance away on the other side of the village. I think that the road noise might have been rather disturbing.

Although there were no facilities, other than waste bins, this was a pleasant night's stop on the edge of a pretty village set in a deep river valley in splendid walking country. No noise overnight, despite being part of the village car park.

Simply the best aire that we have ever visited. Everything is new and in full working order with free water and electricity. The town is a few minutes' walk away, where there is a good selection of bars and restaurants. The town fort looks interesting and we will have to come again to have a good look round.

We stopped here in appalling weather, which made checking the aire's facilities rather hard. We woke in the morning after a night of heavy rain to be greeted with thick fog, and could not locate the water and waste disposal - we did manage to empty our WC cassette in the toilet on the upper level. Visiting the city was easy with the nearby cablecar, although the access from the aire is very steep.
