February 1, 2026, I stayed here overnight, picked up groceries, and walked (20 minutes) to the historic city center. It's great that these places exist.

January 30, 2026: Had a peaceful overnight stay here. It's nice to stroll through the village. Check in at the tourist office to visit the shell church and garden; it's definitely worth it.
Sitecode: 63315
January 28, 2026, stayed here for two nights. Being in the back, there was no traffic noise at all, and I slept wonderfully. Close to town and the supermarket. And all for free!

January 20th to January 26th, 2026. I stayed at the top (without power) next to the fitness equipment. A lovely town, a beautiful monastery, a lovely wine museum, and I had lunch at the tennis club, coffee at a Pastelaria with a treat. Fresh fruit and vegetables at the adjacent Mercado. I couldn't manage just drinking water.

January 17, 2026: After a warm welcome, we stayed here for two nights. We had a delicious, generous dinner and a beautiful walk through the vast olive grove and surrounding forest paths. We enjoyed a wonderful hot shower. We received an enthusiastic tour of the factory, which concluded with a tasting. Electricity, shower facilities, and tour were included in the price, as was the use of the microwave. There was also a wide selection of various products.

January 12, 2026, stayed here for two nights. The electricity is at the service area and therefore virtually unusable. The road is clearly audible. It's nice to walk to the castle and see it.

January 2, 2026, we stayed at this fantastic camper site for six nights. Power, fresh bread rolls every day, and a lovely hot shower. Toilets and showers were all clean and fresh. Route descriptions for walks and bike rides were provided, and there was a pizza place around the corner. In short, a wonderful place to relax. Thanks, Ronnie, for your kindness and this lovely camper site.

December 28, 2025: Stayed here for five nights. A great place to stay if you're self-sufficient. The only downside was the noisy young people who arrived late every night. We also enjoyed the charming town, strolling along the riverbanks, and not to forget the vegetarian restaurant Bar do Girassol, where you could enjoy a different menu every day with soup as a starter and a large glass of fresh orange juice for less than €10 per person. Truly delicious!

December 26, 2025: Beautiful campsite at the foot of the Citadel. We stayed here for two nights. It's worth going up and seeing the citadel. Behind the campers, a path runs along the wall. Walk around the citadel to the left, and you'll reach the small river with its many rapids. Before the bridge, walk right along the boardwalk to the town center. A surprising trip; we really enjoyed it.

December 22, 2025: We stayed here for three nights. The staff are hospitable, friendly, and helpful. Everything is well-maintained, and the showers are wonderfully hot. The restaurant here is highly recommended; we enjoyed a delicious grilled dish.

21-12-'25 The CP looks good, the facilities work. The historic river bridge is impressive, the village very quiet. Unfortunately, there was a lot of unrest last night. Barking dogs, a rooster, a tractor, and campers slamming doors when they arrive late or leave early with a lot of noise. It would be nice if there was a little more consideration for each other.

December 20, 2025: Beautiful camper site in the countryside, near a ruggedly shaped lake. A lovely bike path that first takes you over a long bridge over the water and then further on over a very long, high bridge. Then along long boardwalks. A one-hour loop.
Sitecode: 95669
18-12-'25 We stayed here again for two nights, just like last year. It remains an ideal stop on the way to Portugal. Unfortunately, the showers were gone. It's also a shame that you can also pass through the barrier at night, which can sometimes seriously disrupt your sleep.
Sitecode: 105294
16-12-'25 Stayed here for two nights, beautiful and quiet camper site. Close to a nice bike path to Plage de Soustons. The town center and supermarkets are also nearby.
Sitecode: 101287
A beautiful campsite with a heated laundry room and excellent showers. For a very reasonable price, the owner is friendly. Everything is kept spotlessly clean and well-maintained. You can walk straight into the woods at the back.
Sitecode: 101308
December 12, 2025: We stayed here for two nights. A lovely, quiet campsite within walking distance of the magnificent citadel and the town. The Saturday morning market is charming and lively. The cycle path that starts there next to/over the old railway line to Étauliers is a pleasant ride.
Sitecode: 52751
11-12-'25 This will undoubtedly be a beautiful CP in the summer. Currently, the paved pitches were fenced off, and the other pitches were too muddy. I just parked at the back on the paved road. Had a quiet night. It's a desolate village, but there's a nice supermarket across the street.
Sitecode: 1683
09-12-'25 This year we're back again via Noortje, a lovely, quiet CP near the charming town center. Niort in the Christmas spirit is an experience we truly enjoy. Just like the three-course menu du midi at the cozy restaurant Les Planches. Definitely worth repeating.
Sitecode: 14742
07-12-'25 A lovely CP near a small park and a small lake with old wash houses. Wonderfully peaceful, a beautiful town. The lovely cycle route to Saumur (22 km) is well signposted and enjoyable.
Sitecode: 103148
06-12-'25 Nice camper site just outside the village next to a pond. Parking spaces and wastewater disposal are limited for larger campers (7+). We had a peaceful night here.
Sitecode: 105108
04-12-'25 A nice free CP, unfortunately right along the road where the truck traffic starts again at 4:30 in the morning.
Sitecode: 57663
03-12-'25 Stayed here for one night with our camper. We received a very friendly welcome; everything looked well-maintained and clean. Wonderful hot showers.
Sitecode: 54850
December 1st to March 3rd, 2025. We stayed here for two nights. It's a beautifully laid-out campground where you pay very little for all the amenities. Thanks to the municipality.
Sitecode: 86544
28-11-'25 A wonderful, truly peaceful campervan site with paved surfaces. The bakery and Intermarché are within walking distance. For €10 including electricity, we stayed here for 3 nights. Thank you, Cerfontaine, for this beautiful campervan site.
Sitecode: 73059
Contrary to what is stated above, the camping area is still closed until April 1st. We were therefore allowed to park in the parking lot. Walked around the camping, it all looked neat and tidy.
Sitecode: 43626
Next to the gates of Chateau de Fontainebleau stood, a nice place to look at the castle and the city from there. We stood here for 2 nights, only Friday night a lot of noise from rowdy youngsters, otherwise had quiet nights. The police let us stand there unhindered.
Sitecode: 21938
A camper place by the water and the lock. You hear the sound of fast flowing water. The official camper place has a hard sandy surface, gives a lot of dirt when wet. The part in front is largely paved. You walk along the water into the city.
Sitecode: 12592
26-02-‘25 Friendly welcome by the Dutch owner. Beautiful campsite, in beautiful surroundings, with spacious pitches and 3 paved pitches for campers. Nice showers.
Sitecode: 105029
24-02-‘25 A nice camper place next to the racecourse. Because there was a lot of wind we went to Angoulême with the camper instead of by bike. There we looked at the old city and a number of beautiful murals.
Sitecode: 10754
From Saturday to Sunday stood here quietly, Sunday night it was very restless. No facilities, but you walk over the bridge into the lively and vibrant city. Was both on Saturday night and Sunday very cozy. We will definitely come back here.
Sitecode: 89507
Great beautiful camper place with peace, space and everything else you need. We cycled around the lake (25km) really a beautiful route. Thank you very much Eric for the hospitality.
Sitecode: 15832
A nice, quiet camper place for an overnight stay. Nice view of the river and the town on the other side.
Sitecode: 107594
It is not really a nice camper place, but you can sit outside. There is always someone present during the day and the gate closes in the evening. It gives a safe feeling, without worries with the uber to Sintra for one of the many sights there. Showering requires some creativity.
Sitecode: 46544
Beautiful campsite with very spacious pitches. You can do your laundry at Intermarché and hang it on the clothesline at the campsite. Restaurant Kira Kaffe (walking distance) has delicious hamburgers and very tasty sweet potato fries.
Sitecode: 10791
1-3 Feb. '25 A beautiful camper place with free electricity. In the museum an impressive film about the forced relocation of the inhabitants of their old village to this new village. In the village you can buy delicious fresh bread.
Sitecode: 10815
3-5 Feb. '25 A great camper place without facilities, but the location more than makes up for it. Monsaraz is one of the oldest towns in Portugal and definitely worth a visit.
Sitecode: 27464
25 to 28-01-‘25 Beautifully laid out campsite so it is not noticeable that it is so big. Everything you need is here. Next to the railway a beautiful cycle route through a kind of Wadden area. Part of the Atlantic Coast route. Definitely worth it!
Sitecode: 52150
Large parking lot where you can park for free, no other facilities. Beach across the road popular with surfers. Sines is easily accessible by bike.
Sitecode: 15834
09-01-‘25 Large spacious parking lot from where you can walk to the center. The street art on the stairs is nice to see. You can better spend the night somewhere else. Regularly the traffic thunders by, so you don't get much sleep.
Sitecode: 108687
08-01-‘25 The new camper place is disappointing. The camper place itself is very nicely laid out. The toilet and shower building looks nice, but not on the inside. Toilets without toilet seats, showers where you walk through a layer of water, no floor wiper, no hanging hooks. Doesn’t look attractive to take a shower there. Too bad!
Sitecode: 8066
Large spacious parking lot across from the (small narrow) camper places at the swimming pool. Close to the impressive monastery that is worth a visit. Old Jack has 3-4 person pizzas of 50 cm diameter, which are delivered to the camper. The only downside are the geese in the park that regularly make a lot of noise at night.
Sitecode: 157610
02-01 to 06-01-‘25 A very nice camper place that is well thought out. Everything is there, spacious showers, washing machine, dryer, clotheslines, etc. The owner clearly enjoys her work. She is warm, friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful for walking and/or cycling. Forest, lakes and dune area. Definitely recommended for a spacious stop.
Sitecode: 98924
26-12-'24 to 02-01-'25 We were lucky that a spot just became available. Beautiful quiet camper place with the supermarket around the corner, where delicious fresh orange juice is sold. Via the station you are in the cozy and atmospheric city in no time. Good cycle paths to the beach (where you walk over the wooden planks through the dunes) and along the colorful fishermen's houses in Costa Nova do Prado. A train return to Porto 2 pers. €16,- Highly recommended.
Sitecode: 24516
24 and 25-12-'24: Beautiful quiet camper place from where you can walk into the city. The next day we cycled over the ecopista do Dão (left behind the camper place) to Tondela. With quite long parts of descending and ascending. With an electric bike we would certainly have finished it, because the most beautiful part is yet to come.
Sitecode: 46467
Very nicely laid out camper place with free electricity. From there you can walk over the outer fortifications around Almeida, a medieval town. It was really surprising. Unfortunately, we were bothered a lot by the barking dogs that were here last night.
Sitecode: 104266
Beautiful safe camper place with all amenities. Lovely warm shower. Salamanca is a beautiful city that is definitely worth a visit. We went there by bike and enjoyed the lively historical center with all its sights.
Sitecode: 100475
CP filled up during the day. Walked along the boulevard and shopping promenade to the historic center. There is also a nice bike path leading to it. It is really worth it, cozy, nice, atmospheric and beautiful buildings. The Santa Maria Cathedral is very impressive to see.. Last night many talking young people walking by to go out. Otherwise a quiet night.
Sitecode: 57315
A nice camper spot with good facilities for a reasonable price. Via the lift next to the fire brigade through the park to the city. Too bad that campers also arrive late at night who do not take the night's rest into account. Unfortunately also in the morning already before 07:00 am. woken up by noise outside from a suction or spray installation.
Sitecode: 24688
Large spacious parking lot from where you can make beautiful walks. You are here wonderfully quiet at night.
Sitecode: 95669
Great location to stay overnight. The friendly lady at the reception helped us through the app. A large shopping centre around the corner and a Decathlon. A lovely warm shower. We enjoyed it.
Sitecode: 105294
15 and 16 Dec. '24 Beautiful CP now fortunately quiet, because the campers are very close together here. Beautiful cycle path to the beach or to the centre. Large lake nearby.
Sitecode: 100259
This is probably not a camper place anymore. You can stand there with a small camper, with a larger one only at the back where it doesn't matter that much that you are standing a bit outside the space at the front.
Sitecode: 100207
13-12-‘24 Here is a nice quiet place. A nice walk in the adjacent forest and a lovely shower. Lecrerc is nearby for groceries, refueling, dumping dirty water, etc.
Sitecode: 54705
Large campsite with sufficient space, unfortunately no shower. Depending on where you are, there is/is not much noise from traffic and freight trains. Easy to cycle to the centre, beautiful historic city.
Sitecode: 1683
11-12-‘24 Very nice camper place where we stayed quietly for 2 nights. A beautiful park, lots of water and bridges with beautifully landscaped walking paths. You can walk straight into the center with beautiful historical buildings. There is a beautiful light show on the Donjon, also in the large shopping street they play with light. Niort in Christmas atmosphere!
Sitecode: 104217
08-12-‘24 There are 3 camper places close to each other in the parking lot of the courthouse. From here you can walk to the center in 15 minutes. You can also walk along the water behind the campers. The barriers were open when we arrived (Sunday), but were suddenly closed in the evening. We could not get out the next day without a ticket. Fortunately, we were helped by a city employee and we were able to continue after a quiet night.
Sitecode: 21146
05-12-‘24 Camper place at the watermill in an idyllic village with a beautiful park. Stayed here for 3 nights. Cycled along the water to Gien. A baker and butcher around the corner.
Sitecode: 103420
Nice quiet camper place, you can walk into the town where there are beautiful historical buildings. Bought fresh baguette at the bakery.
Sitecode: 46112
A very nicely laid out camper place. You walk straight into the forest, beautiful but very wet and slippery due to the heavy rain. Quiet night.
Sitecode: 1343
29-11-'24 There are 2 camper places here, we had a very quiet night here.
Sitecode: 66701
27-11-‘24 This camper place was easy to reach. The camper places are sometimes taken by cars, because the rest of the parking lot is full. You can walk straight into the cozy city center. There was a lot of unrest at night in the parking lot around the campers.
Sitecode: 110050
26-12-‘24 A very nice camper place, where it is really quiet. Close to the theater and not too far from the center.
Sitecode: 106210
A great camper place, in the very deep backyard you can stand in the grass when the ground is dry. You then have a beautiful view. Now stood on the gravel at the front. Warm welcome, very attentive, helpful and excellent service. An address to remember, we will definitely come back here. Henk and Iet 👋🏻
