Mix-parking Pitztaler Gletscher

Beautiful location at 1,700 metres altitude. You can stand wherever you want, as long as you register at the cash desk. Quite a procedure, the nice cashier is helpful if required. You are in a fantastic position. A day pass for skiers costs €70, for hikers €54, catering is screamingly expensive, not fun anymore. The road to it is a dead end, so 35 km there and back. Watch out for the speed cameras.

Been here for two nights and overnight. Walked and looked elsewhere in the valley during the day. The cable cars were closed (I had no plans to use them) and as you know, there are no further facilities here. I read in the comments below pay 15 euros. I don't see that anywhere here. There is a sign that it is allowed to park here with the camper. Great place, wonderfully quiet
