Camping de la Gartempe

Unfortunately we were faced with a closed campsite on October 21, 2024!

Beautiful small campsite, very nice owner. great spot under the tall trees for a 6.40 camper and small tent. cozy terrace at the (snack) bar, simple tasty meals, such as fish and chips. Beautiful cycling in the area, booked an extra night 👍🏼

Very friendly welcome, spacious pitches with trees and shrubs. Sanitary facilities were fine, showers were even very hot, but you can regulate them yourself. We got our groceries at the supermarket a kilometer walk away. To get to the swimming pool you had to descend from the campsite towards the river. You will receive a code to unlock the gate there. The river was a bit too turbulent for me to fly fish in while standing. But it was beautiful!
