Gasthof Sonnenkaiser

We're at the Sonnenkaiser again from August 14-16, 2025. Simply beautiful. The food was excellent, as always. We cycled to Schliersee and went swimming. When we were here in April, we cycled to the Wendelstein. Unfortunately, the cable car wasn't running. Many thanks to the Florian Felsl family, says Gudrun and Wolfgang Franke from Siegen.

Very friendly owners. You can find your own spot between a trout pond, stables, and a meadow with sheep. A sweet dog. In a very small village, there's a church bell that rings softly and beautifully (it didn't bother me at all at night), and a fast-flowing stream.

Good places. Welcoming reception, sanitary facilities are clean. Good restaurant. Only downside is that you can't go to the toilet late at night because there are two dogs in front of the door that immediately start barking. Of course the proverb barking dogs don't bite but still.
